Claire Head has been a chartered physiotherapist since she qualified in 2001. She completed her postgraduate qualification in women's health physiotherapy in 2006 when she gained full membership to the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women's Health (ACPWH).
She is now the lead clinician for women's health physiotherapy at the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth. Claire specialises in the treatment of obstetric musculoskeletal conditions as well as urogynaecological conditions and pelvic floor dysfunctions including prolapses, urinary incontinence and sexual discomfort. She has published an article on third degree tears in which she has a special interest, and is a visiting lecturer to undergraduate students at the University of East London. She has also been a contributor to the ACPWH Journal committee since 2007.

We are proud have been chosen by UK Athletics as their medical HQ for our 2012 Olympic track and field athletes.
Claire worked at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust in London for 8 years, specialising in women's health in 2003. She played an active role expanding and developing the service during this time and was responsible for extending the women's health service into primary care. She has worked at the Portland hospital for five years taking ante-natal evening classes and weekend workshops as well as providing advice and education for women on the postnatal wards.
